About GetProfileMD

A physician-founded B2B profile service for physicians and clinics.

GetProfileMD.com is the business and product website for a physician-controlled professional profile service. It helps physicians and clinics organize factual public information, preparation guidance, and approved next steps without turning public pages into clinical intake systems.

The challenge

Patients need clarity. Physicians need control.

People often begin online and encounter fragmented listings, outdated information, review-driven platforms, or clinic pages that cannot fully explain the individual physician pathway. ProfileMD offers a calmer, factual, physician-controlled alternative.

1. Clear public information

Organizes accurate clinic locations, professional scope, languages, and registration context without review-platform noise.

2. Physician-controlled structure

Keeps physicians and authorized clinic teams in control of biography, public links, status, and publication approval.

3. Safer patient navigation

Explains what patients can prepare, where public information ends, and which approved next step belongs to the clinic.

4. Clinic-approved secure handoffs

Connects to clinic-owned secure systems only when routing, wording, ownership, and testing have been approved.

B2B service model

What GetProfileMD provides to physicians and clinics

A professional information service that prepares, structures, and maintains public profile content while mapping a clear boundary to clinic-approved private care systems.

A public professional profile layer

Factual, maintainable professional context designed to help people find clear information about a physician and practice.

A patient navigation and preparation layer

Practical public guidance about what to bring, how to prepare, and where to find the clinic-approved access pathway.

A clinic-approved secure workflow map

A clear explanation of where the public page stops and the clinic-controlled secure system begins.

A physician and clinic onboarding system

A structured route for profile review, approvals, corrections, rollout planning, and maintained publication.

Safety limits

What ProfileMD is not

A factual professional platform should not double as a clinical service, patient intake route, or opinion forum.

Not a review site

No crowdsourced patient comments, clinical testimonials, or star ratings.

Not a ranking platform

No popularity scores, paid placement, best-doctor badges, or pay-to-rank features.

Not a medical advice service

No diagnosis, treatment, triage, prescribing, or clinical decision-making.

Not a patient intake system

Public pages do not collect symptoms, records, referrals, documents, or other patient PHI.

Not an appointment or referral channel

Patients must use the physician or clinic's approved access pathway.

Not an emergency service

Urgent or emergency concerns must use 911 or the nearest emergency department.

Not an automatic EMR integration layer

No automatic chart update, PS Suite writeback, or universal EMR claim is made.

Our stance

Why no reviews, ratings, or rankings?

ProfileMD is designed as a factual professional information platform, not a popularity platform. Healthcare search should prioritize accurate information, physician-controlled context, patient preparation, and approved next steps instead of public scoring and ranking pressure.

Coexistence

Your clinic website explains the clinic. ProfileMD helps explain the physician pathway.

ProfileMD complements clinic websites. It does not replace clinic websites or clinic-owned clinical systems.

Clinic Website

  • Clinic brand and history
  • Offered clinic services
  • Physical location and contact
  • Clinic-wide operational policies

ProfileMD

  • Physician-controlled public profile
  • Professional context and verification language
  • Pre-visit preparation guidance
  • Approved public links and secure workflow map

Workflow mapping

Public pages explain. Clinic-approved systems collect.

GetProfileMD.com explains the public product and professional pathway. When secure workflows are used, they remain separately scoped, clinic-approved, configured, tested, and owned by the clinic or its selected provider.

Governance

GetProfileMD service principles

Administrative transparency, physician approval, and conservative patient-safety boundaries guide the B2B service.

Factual public information

Built from defined professional information, approval, and public-source checks where identified.

Physician and clinic control

Profile owners review and approve public-facing text, status, links, and corrections.

Clear correction pathways

Dedicated professional routes support responsible factual updates and removals.

No public PHI collection

Patient health information stays out of public pages and professional inquiry forms.

No reviews or rankings

Objective professional context replaces popularity algorithms and public scoring.

Clinic-owned secure workflows

Clinical destinations remain clinic-approved, clinic-controlled, and separately governed.

Careful verification language

Approval, source review, registration context, and product examples remain clearly distinguished.

Conservative safety boundaries

Medical needs are redirected to clinics, secure systems, or emergency care as appropriate.

Dr. Eduardo Jacques, family physician and founder of ProfileMD

Dr. Eduardo Jacques, MD, CCFPFamily physician and founder of ProfileMDToronto, Ontario, Canada

The founder story

Built from a physician's belief that clearer information can bring patients and practices closer together.

Dr. Eduardo Jacques trained in medicine in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and built a clinical career spanning family medicine, emergency departments, rural and community practice, occupational medicine, and virtual care before continuing his work in Canada.

Across those settings, he repeatedly saw the same problem before the consultation even began: people searched online but often found fragmented biographies, incomplete clinic instructions, and review-driven listings that did little to help them understand the physician, prepare for a visit, or find the right approved next step.

His interest in technology, patient education, information access, innovation, and continuous improvement shaped ProfileMD. The idea was not to build another ratings marketplace. It was to create a more useful public layer: professional information that physicians can review, guidance patients can understand, and a disciplined boundary before any clinic-controlled secure workflow begins.

The product reflects an intentionally forward-looking view of healthcare communication: technology should reduce confusion, widen access to understandable information, respect professional accountability, and help patients approach their care with greater confidence. ProfileMD begins with Dr. Jacques applying that model to his own public profile before asking other physicians to trust it.

Professional foundation

  • Doctor of Medicine, Federal College Foundation of Medical Sciences of Porto Alegre, now UFCSPA
  • Certification in the College of Family Physicians of Canada, CCFP
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario registration context reviewed
  • More than a decade of clinical experience across Canada and Brazil

Origin and responsibility

As founder and the first physician represented in the product, Dr. Jacques remains responsible for approving his public profile, distinguishing personal experience from official-source facts, and correcting maintained information when it changes. Education, registration, and credential details are presented only with defined source context; official records remain authoritative.

Founder context explains product origin and professional accountability. It is not a patient testimonial, physician ranking, endorsement, or guarantee of clinical quality or outcome. Read how GetProfileMD verification works.

Building a clearer public front door for medical practices.

Start with a physician-controlled public profile. Add clinic-approved navigation and separately scoped secure workflow planning only when the practice is ready.
